 The elegant and graceful
lightness of the Prague Belle Epoque style lends
a unique atmosphere to the rooms and suites of the
Hotel Le palais and will make your stay a very special
experience. The Hotel is a real treasure for sophisticated
business and leisure travellers, for them to enjoy
this delightful gem of 19th century architecture
with its peaceful yet central location and to discover
Prague at its best. Constructed in 1841 the original
residential building was completed redesigned in
the Belle Epoque style between 1888 and 1897. Characteristic
of that period and its style is the best rebirth
of a zest for life, of optimism and confidence.
This original character of the Belle Époque has
found here extraordinary expression and has been
preserved in a consistent and harmonious way. Large
parts of the building were created by the Bohemian
painter Ludek Marold who lived on the top floor
until 1898. His splendid frescoes on their own convey
to the observer that exuberant Joie de Vivre of
the beautiful epoch and its love of creativity to
the smallest detail. The 61 spacious deluxe double
rooms and 11 suites with their elegant and homely
ambience and their luxurious, generous marble bathrooms
offer first class accommodation. The 11 suites have
been lovingly restored and are furnished individually,
true to style (some even with their own fireplace),
with a splendid view of Prague. All rooms are provided
with the most modern equipment which has been carefully
integrated to preserve the ambience and the style
of the 19th Century: Air conditioning, direct dialling
phone, PC connection, TV, DVD player and safe. Minibar,
tea and coffee service are complimentary. The perfect
symbiosis of classical surroundings and up to date
technologies forms the ideal setting for a modern
meeting venue with a special atmosphere: The Hotel
Le Palais offers 2 exclusive conference rooms accommodating
